As wine lovers, there's nothing quite like discovering a new winery that just takes our breath away. And that's exactly what happened when we visited Early Mountain Vineyards in Virginia. We had heard great things about their wines, but experiencing them firsthand was truly an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we knew we were in for a treat. The stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance set the stage for what was to come. As we made our way through the vineyards, we were struck by the beauty of the landscape and the meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard. Our tour guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wines, led us through the winemaking process from start to finish. We were amazed to learn about the different techniques used to create the various styles of wine, and we could tell that each bottle was crafted with care and precision. And then came the moment we had been waiting for - the wine tasting. We started with their Petit Manseng, which was crisp and refreshing with notes of tropical fruit and a hint of sweetness. Next up was the Cabernet Franc, which had a beautiful balance of fruit and tannins, with a long, smooth finish. Finally, we tried their red blend, which was complex and flavorful, with layers of dark fruit and spice. But the highlight of the visit was undoubtedly our tour of the winery, where we got to taste their brand new Pet Nat straight from disgorging. It was a truly unique experience, and one that we will never forget. We were blown away by the quality of the wine and the attention to detail that went into every aspect of its production. As we left Early Mountain Vineyards, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience such incredible wines and to meet the passionate people behind them. We're thrilled to be able to share these wines with our customers at Aroma Thyme Bistro, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for Early Mountain Vineyards. Cheers to discovering the best of the best!
