The Secret Ingredient in a Perfect Margarita: The Importance of High-Quality Triple Sec

When it comes to making a classic margarita, many people focus on the quality of the tequila they use, but often overlook another important ingredient - triple sec. Triple sec is an orange-flavored liqueur that adds a touch of sweetness and complexity to the margarita. In fact, it's just as important as the tequila in creating a high-quality margarita.


At Aroma Thyme Bistro, we know the importance of using high-quality triple sec in our margaritas. That's why we use three specific brands of triple sec: Combier Orange, Solerno, and Paul Devoille.


Combier Orange is a French triple sec made from oranges from the Caribbean. It's a combination of sweet and bitter orange peels, giving it a unique flavor. It has a smooth, sweet taste that pairs well with the tequila in a margarita and also has a hint of spice and vanilla that adds a subtle complexity to the drink.


Solerno is a triple sec created in Sicily and is made from blood oranges from the slopes of Mount Etna. This triple sec has a unique taste that is both tart and sweet, with a hint of spice. The flavor of Solerno is perfect for a margarita as it compliments the tequila and gives the drink a unique flavor.


Paul Devoille Triple Sec is a triple sec made in France. It's made from a blend of sweet and bitter orange peels and has a smooth, sweet taste. It's slightly sweet and has a hint of citrus that pairs well with the tequila and lime juice in the margarita.


When making a margarita, it's important to use a triple sec that is of the highest quality and equal or more in cost to the tequila. Cheap triple sec with artificial flavorings can easily ruin a margarita instantly. Combier Orange, Solerno, and Paul Devoille triple secs all make a great margarita and are used in our margaritas. Combier Orange has a sweet and complex flavor, while Solerno adds a unique tart and sweet flavor. Paul Devoille Triple Sec adds a subtle sweetness to the drink, as well as a hint of citrus. All three triple secs add a unique flavor and complexity to the classic margarita, making them a great choice for creating a unique and delicious drink.
